When does the money hit my account
Your first payout usually arrives 7 to 14 days after your first paid invoice, while Stripe verifies your account. After that, a card payment normally reaches your bank in about two business days, and a bank transfer takes a few days longer, and Stripe’s standard fee comes out of the payout. You don’t have to sign up with Stripe yourself: we open a Stripe payments account in your studio’s name inside StudioSide, you add your bank and the identity details the law requires, and you see your payouts here. If Stripe needs anything more later, it says so in the app.
What if a label is paying for the session
You say what the label is covering — the booked hours, a fixed amount, or the whole night. Anything their coverage does not take falls to the artist, on an invoice of their own, and every charge sits on exactly one invoice so the two can never double up. A label that agreed to four hours pays for four; the two hours over go to the artist, and nobody has to work that out by morning.
What if a session runs long
The session keeps running and records what actually happened, not what was booked. Overtime shows on the invoice against the booked hours, so you can bill it or waive it deliberately. A session left running well past its end gets flagged so it does not quietly run all night.
What happens when a client cancels or does not turn up
Nothing happens to the money on its own. You mark the session cancelled or a no-show, the room frees up, and what to charge is your call — StudioSide never charges a card, keeps a deposit, or bills a cancellation fee without you. A deposit you have already taken is a prepayment against their bill, not a forfeit: it stays their money.
What happens to my Google Calendar
Your sessions show up in it. Connecting Google adds a StudioSide calendar to your account and pushes your sessions into it — everything at the studio, a single room, or just your own sessions, whichever you pick. It runs one way: nothing you put in Google comes back into StudioSide, so the bookings live here.
Do my clients need an account
No. Invoices arrive by email and can be paid from a link — no account, no password, nothing for your client to set up.
Who on my team can see the money
Invoices, payments, and the financial pages stay closed to your runner and your assistants, and that is enforced in the database rather than hidden in the interface. Everything they do need is built for a phone first: the day schedule and clocking in and out. A runner or assistant sees the rooms and their own shifts.
